The Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) has seen many changes over the past six months, all designed around a collaborative approach to improving the undergraduate experience.
ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Student Government and the Center for Student Involvement is hosting a watch party for the second presidential debate on Sunday, Oct. 9, 6:30 to 9 p.m. The event will take place in Glenn Miller Ballroom. The debate runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. There will be tons of tasty food and beverages so come join your fellow students in watching the debate.
The Office of Information Technology is looking for students to participate in a 35-minute interview, from Oct. 10-28, about their online experience at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder. Participants will receive a $10 Amazon gift card in return for their participation. Please sign up if interested.
In 1899, 23 years after the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder was established, a Greek professor began his career at the university. After three decades of service, 22 of which were as ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ president, the school was forever changed.
Yesterday our campus faced extreme adversity that was very unsettling. Events like these impact each of us differently and no way of coping is right or wrong. Our community showed its strength and unity as we opened our arms and our homes to one another.
After receiving several reports of a non-ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ text alert received by some affiliates yesterday, campus officials began an investigation with the vendor that provides our text alert system, RAVE Mobile Safety. Searches in social media further revealed that the same message was being received by affiliates at many universities across the United States.
During the two incidents yesterday, we heard from some of you about some of the terms we used in our emergency communication. We hope this will help everyone understand what the terms mean and why we use them.
As we come back together after a tough day on campus, I again extend my appreciation to all of our community members who stepped up and made a difference in each other’s lives yesterday.
Yesterday was quite scary and unsettling for many students and the entire ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder community. During times like this it is important to pay attention to your emotional well-being.
Today we experienced a threatening situation in the Folsom Field Champions Center. Later in the day, a number of calls were made to police dispatch regarding unconfirmed reports of an active threat at three separate locations. I thank everyone who responded quickly and calmly to the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder Alert regarding today’s incident.
