The campus community is once again embarking on an accreditation review by the nonprofit Higher Learning Commission (HLC), an independent corporation founded in 1895 as one of six regional institutional accreditors in the United States.

When we approach the university’s work collaboratively, the energy and ideas brought to the table benefit all elements of our enterprise. I appreciate the work being done across the campus to create a culture that is inclusive, collaborative and innovative.

The College of Music will present a showcase concert at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall on Monday, Nov. 7. Alumni, family, faculty and friends will converge on Midtown Manhattan for an unforgettable evening of inspiring new works and virtuosic classics.

With $2.5 million in gifts, ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s Gallogly family is naming the Discovery Learning Center at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder, as well as boosting the teaching and research power of the College of Engineering and Applied Science with two new faculty positions.

The National Procurement Institute Inc. (NPI) has announced the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ as one of the recipients of their 2016 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) awards.

Alumni and the campus community are encouraged to celebrate their ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ pride at Homecoming this weekend. In keeping with ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ tradition, the annual parade and pep rally will begin at 7 p.m. Friday on Pearl Street. Come watch colorful student-built floats make their way down the street and then join in the festivities as the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Spirit Team and Marching Band perform during the pep rally at the courthouse lawn.

Growing up in San Diego, California, Michael Adkins II always wanted to be a businessman. He sold pistachios for a dime to classmates in elementary school and an individual Starburst for a quarter in middle school, turning a profit on both. "I was in elementary school and they had a vending machine," he said. "I just figured I could sell these individually and make money off the situation."
