Mike Errico And Bobby Lee To Perform At Trivia Bowl At ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder April 4

A free concert and comedy show featuring guitarist Mike Errico and comedian Bobby Lee will be presented Thursday, April 4, by the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder Program Council. The show is at 8 p.m. following the last Trivia Bowl game of the day in the Glenn Miller Ballroom of the University Memorial Center, located at Broadway and Euclid Avenue. The event is presented to ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder students and the public as part of the 2002 Trivia Bowl entertainment.

Cops In Shops Effort Tests Underage Drinking In Boulder

Underage drinkers beware: That bouncer by the door of local Boulder eating and drinking establishments might just be a Boulder police officer. The Boulder Police Department, in conjunction with the Hill's Responsible Hospitality Group and the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder's A Matter of Degree Program will implement the program citywide in Boulder soon.

Environmental Ethics Colloquium To Be Held At ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder March 15-16

"Environmental Ethics" is the topic of the 2002 Morris Colloquium to be held March 15-16 at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder. Presented by the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder philosophy department, the colloquium will feature lectures by some of the most prominent figures in environmental ethics. All events are free and open to the public.

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥'s Fiske Planetarium To Present "ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Skies" On March 19

Fiske Planetarium at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder will present "ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Skies," a live show featuring some of the stellar sights seen in the night sky in ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥, on Tuesday, March 19, at 7:30 p.m. Visitors will see images of the night sky over ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ as it appears to the unaided eye, through telescopes and in wavelengths of light human eyes can't see. They also will learn about upcoming events in the night sky, and will track the movement of planets through the skies of this month and beyond.

Black Cultural Health Symposium To Be Held At ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder March 15-16

The University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder's Black Biomedical Research Movement, or BBRM, will host an African-American Cultural Health Symposium and Cultural Fair March 15 and March 16 on campus. The two-day event was created for black students of all ages. The campus events will be free and open to the public. Events held at the Boulder Theater Saturday evening, March 16, will cost $10 per person.

Experts Examine Science, Media At ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder Round-Table Event

Nationally renowned journalists, scientists, policymakers and scholars will gather at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder March 11 for a public discussion about how the media cover science. "Science & the Media: A Round-Table Discussion" will be held in the Old Main Chapel from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The panel will address coverage of critical issues like global warming, as well as the scope of scientific coverage in mass media. The event is free and open to the public, who will have the opportunity to participate in discussions.

10th U.S. Circuit Court Of Appeals To Hear Arguments At ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Law School

The 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will hear arguments at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder School of Law on March 19 in the Lindsley Memorial Courtroom from 9 a.m. to noon. Students will get a chance to hear oral arguments in five cases. After the arguments have been heard, students will be given the opportunity to ask the presiding judges questions.

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Court Of Appeals To Hear Arguments At ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder Law School

The ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Court of Appeals will hear arguments in the Lindsley Memorial Courtroom at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder School of Law March 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Students will get a chance to hear oral arguments, ask the presiding judges questions and attend a reception afterward in the Moorhead-Rutledge Lounge. A civil and a criminal case will be heard. In the criminal case, Claire Christine Walsh is appealing her conviction for first degree murder.

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder Prof Brings World Of Jazz To ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Students, Audiences

Chip Stephens' exceptional talent at the piano has taken him around the world several times, and his experience is now benefiting students and audiences in the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ jazz community. The Grammy and Emmy Award-winning pianist in the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder College of Music, where he is an assistant professor, has released two acclaimed compact discs. He's played in the Glenn Miller Orchestra and the Maynard Ferguson and Woody Herman big bands, and spent two years recording and globetrotting with Cuban jazz trumpet legend Arturo Sandoval.

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Visiting Artist Program Presents Sculptor Saint Clair Cemin On March 12

Sculptor Saint Clair Cemin will give a lecture Tuesday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder in Sibell Wolle Fine Arts Building room N141. Cemin creates art pieces that question our traditional concept of place, language and object identity using a variety of media including marble, bronze, wood, copper and porcelain. In his sculpturing Cemin addresses unusual formal, visual and verbal relationships through three-dimensional works.
