This exhibition celebrates American printmaking with prints from the Polly and Mark Addison Collection at the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Art Museum.ÌýÌýPrintmaking became increasingly popular among American artists,Ìýwith the advent of collaborative efforts between artists andÌýspecializedÌýprintmakersÌýin the mid-twentiethÌýcentury. The productionsÌýon view exemplify this trend and showcaseÌýthe combined skills ofÌýartistsÌýand master printmaker.ÌýÌýIn these works,Ìýartists and printmakers used the graphic and expressive qualities of lineÌýand colorÌýto evoke emotion.ÌýÌýAllÌýofÌýthe artists represented in thisÌýexhibition probe the possibilities of expression in printmaking, revealing human presenceÌýin a mechanically reproducible medium through idea, gesture, or interaction with materials.Ìý
