ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥

The Graduate School of Business at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder has been selected to join a group of colleges and universities, including Stanford and Yale, that participate in the MBA Enterprise Corps, which provides long-term assistance to companies in developing economies. Through the MBA Enterprise Corps, graduates of the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder MBA program will have the opportunity to apply their business knowledge while helping to improve the economic condition of companies in developing countries such as Bulgaria or Kazakhstan.

The College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder is still accepting applications for the 34th annual High School Honors Institute as well as a new opportunity with the Royal Academy of Engineering's "Headstart" program at the University of Southampton, England. Both programs are intended to introduce the field of engineering to students who have an interest in math or science. The application deadline for the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ High School Honors Institute is June 30, but students who want to attend the program in England must apply by June 1.

Researchers at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder have developed a novel process involving the production of ethanol that could lead to a significant decrease in the cost of renewable fuel.

The University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ College of Business will send seven entrepreneurship doctoral students to the 22nd Babson College/Kauffman Foundation Entrepreneurship Research Conference in Sweden in June. It is unprecedented for any university to have seven doctoral student papers accepted in one year to this premier entrepreneurship research conference.

Researchers at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder have received a $280,000 grant to help unlock the mystery of how diffuse knapweed, a noxious weed that has infested more than 80,000 acres along the Front Range and 3.2 million acres in the West, has become dominant in the prairies around Boulder.

The Robert H. and Beverly A. Deming Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder has received a $500,000 grant from the Price Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies, which will help expand entrepreneurial programs and learning opportunities for business and engineering students.
