Admissions Requirements:Ìý​
- Baccalaureate degree or its equivalent in computer science, linguistics, math or science from an accredited college or university
- Undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.0
- Mathematics courses:
- Calculus I and II (1 semester required, two semesters recommended; AP credit on your university transcript is fine)
- Statistics & Probability, upper division
- Computer science courses:Ìý
- Intro to Computer Science
- Data Structures
- Algorithms (recommended)
- Intro to Programming Languages (familiarity with two programming languages recommended; this can be fulfilled with work experience)
- Linguistics courses:Ìý
- Intro to Linguistics (with focus on language structures)Ìý
- Additional course (morphology/syntax, semantics, formal semantics) recommended
- 3 letters of recommendation
- Personal statement of purpose and Diversity statement
- GRE scores (required for all applicants)
- TOEFL score of 83 (IBT) or higher, an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, or a Duolingo score of 120Ìýor higher for international applicants whose post-secondary education was not in English
