Educational Foundations, Policy & Practice

The Educational Foundations, Policy & Practice emphasis focuses on policy analysis, curriculum theory, and the application of academic disciplines—anthropology, history, law, philosophy, and sociology—to the analysis of education. You will analyze educational theory, policy, and practice by drawing on the humanities and the social sciences. We are devoted to the critical examination of the relationships among education, society, culture, and government, with special emphasis on problems of race, gender, sexual diversity, social class, and multiculturalism.

What can you do if you study Educational Foundations, Policy & Practice?

Our graduates are prepared for diverse roles as educators, advocates, or policy analysts in schools, government agencies, think tanks, policy organizations, community organizations, or institutions of higher education.
