ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder Schools And Colleges Voting On Honor Code

The University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder honor code has met with the approval of several of its member schools and colleges and voting on the code will continue through December. While faculty in all schools within the university have not yet ratified the honor code, initial responses from those who have has been positive, according to Ron Stump, ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥'s vice chancellor for student affairs.

Western Boom And Bust Economy To Be Examined At ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder Dec. 1

As the West faces an economic slowdown, the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder Center of the American West is assembling a group of experts to examine the region's historical pattern of a boom and bust economy and talk about what the future might hold. Eight experts from a variety of disciplines will issue the results of a two-day discussion from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, in Hale Science room 270.

But Mah'd, who is visually disabled, still finds the Internet to be a valuable resource. ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Experiment To Explore Physics Of Space Dust Collisions Aboard Shuttle

A University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder experiment will ride into orbit on a NASA space shuttle to explore gentle collisions between particles of space dust - a fundamental process in the formation of planets and the evolution of planetary ring systems. The payload, dubbed COLLIDE-2, or Collisions Into Dust Experiment Two, is part of the MACH-1 payload currently scheduled for launch on the space shuttle Endeavour on Nov. 29. COLLIDE-2 continues the research into the dust collisions where its predecessor, COLLIDE, left off in April 1998.

Calendar Item Fiske Planetarium Presents "Season of Light" Fiske Planetarium will explore the origins of traditions such as menorah candles, solstice bonfires, mistletoe and the Christmas star during "Season of Light," a holiday star show. The program will be shown on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons during the holiday season. The Friday shows are Nov. 30, Dec. 14 and Dec. 21 at 7:30 p.m. and the Saturday shows are Dec. 1, Dec. 8, Dec. 15 and Dec. 22 at 2 p.m.

Margot Adler, a National Public Radio correspondent based in New York, will give a public talk at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder on Tuesday, Nov. 27. Adler, who will be on campus as a guest of the World Affairs Athenaeum, will speak at 1:30 p.m. in the Old Main Chapel. The event is free and open to the public. She will speak about "Life, Politics and Spirit after Sept. 11: Musings of a New York Journalist."
