With the clocks set back now, it officially feels like fall! This week brings a Day of the Dead celebration; an election Stress(Less) event; International Coffee Hour; an open mic night; and more.

Monday, Nov. 4

This is a workshop geared toward student employment assistance and updates—learn how effective Handshake can be to land an on-campus job!

11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. |​ Wolf Law commons
Mark your calendars for the Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration! Please also consider  to be printed and displayed on the ofrenda (altar), even if you can’t attend the event.

Learn about networking basics at this workshop. Find out how to network in a genuine way and take networking to the next level. We’ll also talk about LinkedIn—what it is and how to use it. This workshop will be held again .

Need a space to study or an accountability buddy? Join us at the Study Café in the Center for Inclusion and Social Change lobby. Free study snacks and productivity rewards provided. All first-generation students are welcome.

Come down to The Connection for trivia! Teams and individuals are welcome. Free to enter and sign-up starts at 6 p.m. at The Connection front desk. Prizes for top finishers! 

Tuesday, Nov. 5

11 a.m.–1 p.m. | Rec Center lobby 
Research shows that writing gratitude letters can increase your happiness and boost your mood. Learn more about the science of gratitude and write a postcard to someone you are grateful for. We will mail your letter anywhere around the world!

7–9 p.m. | The Connection 
Come test your luck at a single or double knock-out pingpong tournament! Sign-up starts at 6 p.m. at The Connection front desk.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

Learn how to manage your organization's money, from funding resources to budgeting tips and tricks. This event is a part of the Build a Buff Leadership Luncheons series.

Calling all first-generation students living off campus or commuting to campus! Enjoy a free lunch and good company with Beyond Campus Buffs to kick off National First-Generation Celebration Week.

Are you feeling post-election stress? Join Health Promotion at Wardenburg to de-stress with DIY aromatherapy, ear seeding/acupressure and slime making.

Connection plays an important role in recovery from substance use and other behaviors. Join this workshop to learn about recovery, ways to provide support and connect with community resources.

Show off your skills at a Wednesday night Super Smash Bros tournament hosted by ����ֱ�� Gaming and The Connection!

6–8:30 p.m. | CASE auditorium and Chancellor’s Hall
Celebrate excellence in gaming with John Romero. Born in ����ֱ�� and holding Mexican, Yaqui and Cherokee heritage, Romero is a director, designer, programmer and developer in the video game industry. He has helped develop classics like Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, Hexen and Quake. John will present on indigeneity and gaming remotely to a live audience in the CASE auditorium. Catering, provided by Tocabe, will also be served with a curated Q&A in the Chancellor's Hall.

Support the womens's volleyball team as they tangle with the University of Utah Utes. Admission is free for all ����ֱ�� Boulder students with a valid Buff OneCard.

Thursday, Nov. 7

4–5 p.m. |​ UMC 457 
Join us for a special yoga session as we celebrate Native American Heritage Month! This unique class will honor the resilience, wisdom and traditions of Native American and Indigenous cultures through a blend of mindful yoga practices and mindfulness exercises. The first 30 participants get a free yoga mat!

5–7 p.m. | The Connection 
Celebrate the season with the UMC Board at Fall Fest! Enjoy free pizza and bowling, plus learn more about the UMC Board and getting involved.

8–10 p.m. |​ The Connection 
Enjoy free bowling, billiards, pingpong and karaoke at The Connection! 

6–8 p.m. | UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom 
Join fellow Buffs for food, games, music and giveaways at the annual National First-Generation College Celebration Day! All first-generation students are welcome.
