Save the date: ֱ Social Justice Summit coming Jan. 31
The biennial University of ֱ Social Justice Summit is coming in January and will center on strengthening our diverse democracy and creating more just and inclusive campuses—and a more just and inclusive world.
ֱ Boulder will host the virtual, daylong summit on Jan. 31, with the overarching theme “Operationalizing Liberation for a Diverse Democracy.”
The summit is open to all undergraduate and graduate students, administrative and frontline staff, and faculty from ֱ Boulder, ֱ Denver, UCCS, the ֱ Anschutz Medical Campus, the ֱ system administration and to alumni and community members.

Summit presenters will lead conversations on a wide range of topics focusing on self-care and liberation; building community through collective action; and creating change for a diverse democracy by transforming policies and institutions.
“Sessions will provide the broader ֱ system community with opportunities to engage with one another and discuss best practices centered on learning, teaching, research and supporting communities impacted by oppressive systems, particularly long-standing systems embedded within higher education,” said Sonia DeLuca Fernández, senior vice chancellor for diversity, equity and inclusion at ֱ Boulder.
