Recycled Runway couture on exhibit through August
Young designers. Creative genius. Inspiring fashions.
Fridays through August, the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Museum of Natural History is decked out with Recycled Runway couture, a special collection of original garments designed and constructed by local artists, grades six to 12.
Stop by the BioLounge to see clothing fashioned out of candy wrappers, board-game pieces, packing materials and even a trampoline—all items that were diverted from our local landfill and upcycled.
Learn how making better decisions about the clothing we buy, and how we dispose of it, can support the planet, a trend that is always in style! Perhaps you'll leave inspired to create your own sustainable fashion statement.
