Octobre is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

With October being Domestic Violence Awareness month, ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ wantsÌýto remind theÌýcommunity of theÌýpolicies in place that prohibit this type of conduct.

Based on ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ policy, intimate partner abuse (including domestic or dating violence) is defined as any act of violence or threatened act of violence against a person with whom the individual is or has been involved in a sexual or dating relationship. This includes threats, assault, property damageÌýand violence/threat of violence (either to one’s self orÌýfamily members) when used as a method of coercion, control, punishment, intimidation or revenge.
