The Study Abroad Program at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder has awarded more than $152,000 in scholarships and grants to students enrolled in study abroad programs in summer 2002.
The aid comes from the program's auxiliary accounts, alumni donations, the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Commission on Higher Education Diversity Fund, foundation donations, the Council on International Exchange, Denmark International Study, the Boettcher Foundation and the Freeman Foundation.
ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder enrolled 151 students in the study abroad programs for the summer. Scholarship applications were submitted by 95 students and 79 of them received a scholarship from ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder.Ìý
Scholarship awards were based on financial need, academic standing and the student's ability to write and be a good ambassador for ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder and the United States of America.
