The ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder Leeds School of Business will host the third annual MBA Net Impact Case Competition on April 6.

The event brings together MBA students from across the nation to address business sustainability and social responsibility issues. Participating schools include ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder, Northwestern, University of North Carolina, UCLA, Vanderbilt, University of Denver, University of Minnesota, Yale, Washington University and Case Western Reserve.

Team presentations will be held at 3:30 p.m. The competition is free and open to the public.

"We are attracting the best MBA students in America to Boulder," said business Dean Steven Manaster. "Net Impact's focus on sustainability aligns well with the Leeds School's dedication to the connection between business and society. It is particularly appropriate that we host this event."

The competition will place four students from different schools on teams to work together. The collaborative approach differs from traditional MBA case competitions in which schools compete against each other.Ìý

Teams will address an energy case involving international business ethics and social responsibility that will be kept confidential until April 5. Teams will work out financial, ethical and sustainability issues and will present their results to a panel of industry and academic judges. Prize money will be awarded to the top teams.
