How to keep tourists returning to ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥, attract the family vacation market and soften the environmental impacts of sustainable tourism will be among the topics of the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Tourism Conference Oct. 18-20 in Denver.

Sponsored by the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder College of Business, the conference also will include sessions on adventure recreation tourism, heritage tourism and how to leverage technology to market tourism.

"ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Tourism in the New Millennium," will meet at the Doubletree Hotel, 3203 Quebec St., in Denver.

Registration costs range from $50 for the opening reception to $180 for all conference activities.

The conference is an annual event where travel and tourism professionals meet to share ideas. It is designed for a wide range of tourism-related industries including lodging owners, recreation organizations, destination marketing, advertising and public relations firms, the hospitality industry and museum, event, convention, arts and sports marketing organizations.

The conference is organized by the Center for Sustainable Tourism, based at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-BoulderÂ’s business college, with assistance from the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Tourism Office. The center is the business collegeÂ’s management unit for research and community service in tourism.
