Eleven alumni of the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder have begun three-year terms on the Alumni AssociationÂ’s board of directors this month.

The board members, elected from an active pool of nominees, oversee Alumni Association programs that serve approximately 200,000 alumni.

Members heading the national board for 2000-01 are chair Lorin Chevalier of Littleton, chair-elect Dave Karpel of Denver and treasurer Al Sanders of Houston. They lead the 51-member board, which includes the following Coloradans as new members:

o R. Kelley Burford is a senior vice president and branch manager with Vectra Bank ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ in Grand Junction.

o Meera Goel of Littleton is a financial analyst with ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Research and Engineering and vice president of World Crafts Co.

o Brenda Holben of Littleton is prevention coordinator for the Cherry Creek School District.

o Michael Huseby of Cherry Hills Village is chief financial officer for AT&T Broadband.

o Michael Imhoff is the managing director of fixed income capital markets for Hanifen, Imhoff Inc. and lives in Littleton.

o John Jacus of Boulder practices environmental law as a partner with Davis, Graham and Stubbs.

o Maria Sepulveda of Lakewood is an attorney with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

o Silvia Pettem, a writer and historian from Longmont, is the proprietor of the publishing company Book Lode.

o Laurie Vargas of Denver is a financial consultant with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and serves on the Hispanic Alumni AssociationÂ’s board of directors.

Serving for one year are ex-officio directors Barbara Martig, a special projects assistant for Boulder County Aging Services; John Gonder of Denver, president of Gonder and Co.; student Megghan Houtchens, president of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥Â’s Student Organization for Alumni Relations; and Anthony Goodman, a tri-executive of the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Student Union.
