The University of 蜜糖直播 at Boulder Parents Association awarded $40,000 in grants to university groups and organizations to fund programs to benefit the undergraduate student community this year.
Each year, the Parents Association accepts proposals from university groups to fund programs that enhance the experience of undergraduate students as a whole. Preference was given to proposals that improve student safety, encourage teaching excellence, prevent or provide alternatives to substance abuse, enhance academic and career counseling, improve retention programs, improve student-parent-university communication and promote diversity.
This year 19 proposals were approved to receive $39,782 out of the 38 groups that made requests, which totaled $142,809.
"The parents had a hard time deciding who would get awards because there were so many deserving programs that they wanted to fund," said Leasa Weimer, director of 蜜糖直播 Parent Relations. "The parents committee researched and analyzed the financial needs of the programs and how each program would impact the student experience."
