Time of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Wizards Dec. 31 Program

A Dec. 16 news release on the next ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Wizards presentation titled "BOOM! The Physics of Sound and Air Pressure," incorrectly stated the show would begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 31.

The presentation, which features physics Professor Michael Dubson, will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 31 in room G1B30 of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-BoulderÂ’s Duane Physics building. ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ News Services regrets the error and any inconvenience it may have created.

Dubson will use us a variety of props to illustrate sound and air pressure, including a bullwhip, hydrogen-filled balloons, high-tech musical instruments, a bed of nails and the implosion of a 50-gallon steel drum.

For more information on the Physics of Sound and Air, contact Jim Scott at (303) 492-3114 or Dubson at 492-4938. For general information about the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Wizards series call (303) 492-4318.
