The Summer Theatre Caravan from ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder will perform the romantic comedy, "It Had To Be You," in five ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ communities from June 25 through July 15 as part of its summer outreach program.

The ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Summer Theatre Caravan has been performing and holding acting workshops across ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ since the summer of 1997 to foster the performing arts in smaller ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ communities. This summer the Caravan is coordinated by two doctoral and four undergraduate ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder theater students assisting with public performances and children's workshops.

Performances will be held in Westcliffe at the Jones Theatre on June 25-26; in Gunnison at the Gunnison Arts Center on June 27; in Salida at the Salida Steam Plant on July 2-3; in Montrose at the Magic Circle Theatre on July 9-10; and in Walsenberg at the Fox Youth Center Theatre on July 15.

There also will be performances at the Washington Park United Methodist Church in Denver on July 17-18 and at the Old Main Theater on the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder campus on Aug. 27-28.

The Caravan also will assist with acting workshops designed for children ages 8-18. It will join up with the "ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ in Residence" state outreach program for the Children's Theatre Residency to be held from June 7 through June 18 in Montrose.

A Creativity Camp is scheduled for Westcliffe from June 28 through July 2.
