Investors, business leaders, corporate relocation services and ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ farmers rely on Richard Wobbekind to give them accurate economic forecasts each December. This year, BankOne and the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder College of Business and Administration are formally thanking him.
Wobbekind, director of the Business Research Division at the College of Business and Administration at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder, is the recipient of the 1997 BankOne ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Corporation Faculty Community Service Award.
One full-time faculty member from each ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ campus who provides exceptional educational, humanitarian, civic or other service in his or her community is presented with a $2,500 award. Wobbekind will be honored by colleagues and business leaders at a reception on June 10 at the College of Business.
Wobbekind is responsible for the annual ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Economic Outlook forum. He relies on the expertise of more than 75 business, government and educational leaders when making employment and economic forecasts. Wobbekind presents his findings to a large public audience in Denver each December and also hosts forums around the state.
