Lamar will host an exhibit on Greek culture of more than 9,000 years ago as part of the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ This Summer cultural outreach program of the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder.

The exhibit, “Chaeroneia: 6000 Years B.C.,” will be May 24 through Sept. 1 at the Lamar Public Library, 104 Parmenter St. Exhibit hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.

The local sponsors are KLMR/KSEC Radio, the Lamar Daily News and the Friends of the Library.

The exhibitÂ’s originator, ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder classics Professor Terpsichori Hara Tzavella-Evjen, will be in Lamar Tuesday, May 27, to give a free public talk about the archaeological excavations she directed of the village of Chaeroneia (pronounced Hair-OWN-ee-ah).
