Five finalists for the position of director of the University Memorial Center at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder will begin campus visits April 23.

Members of the campus community are encouraged to attend the candidatesÂ’ open forums and offer feedback to the search committee co-chaired by Gary Chadwick, director of the Recreation Center, and Adam Fingersh, representative-at-large of the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Student Union.

The finalists, their current positions and dates of campus visits are:

•J.C. Ancell, UMC associate director from 1982 until 1996, when he was appointed interim director, April 23.

•Jodie Cottrell, former acting associate dean of student services at New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, April 25.

•Guy Conway, director of Milo Bail Student Center at the University of Nebraska, Omaha, April 28.

•Carlos Garcia, director of the student union and housing at the University of Texas, El Paso, April 30.

•Paul M. Simon, former executive director of the student union at Queens College/City University of New York, Flushing, May 2.

The UMC directorÂ’s position has been held on an interim basis by Ancell since the departure last September of Jim Schafer.
