The University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder has named Cynthia Luna Scott the new assistant to Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Jean Kim.
Scott most recently served as a project manager for higher education at the Education Commission of the States. She also served as executive assistant to the provost and vice president for academic affairs at Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Scott assumed the position at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder on Jan. 2.
She has a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Michigan, a master's in counseling and guidance for the University of Arizona and a bachelor1s in French from San Diego State University.
In the position of assistant to the vice chancellor, Scott will be responsible for providing general fiscal oversight for the student affairs budget, strategic planning and budgeting, will assist Kim in research and policy analysis of student services and will serve as liaison between the division of student affairs and the various campus service departments.
Vice Chancellor Kim said, "We are very excited to have Cindi join our team. She brings exceptional experience to this position, and I look forward to working with her."
The position was previously held by John Crittenden, who now is associate bursar at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-Boulder.
