Export Controls Training

Have you been instructed to take export controls training, or do you simply want to learn more about how export controls regulations affect you?

Note: If you are working on an export-controlled project and have been directed here by the Office of Export Controls, you must take the Skillsoft course to fulfill your training requirements.

SkillSoft Course Instructions

Login to your ��ֱ�� campus portal at
Click on the ��ֱ�� Resources tab (skip this step if you are using the System portal)
Select TRAINING
Select Start SkillSoft (SkillSoft will open in a separate window)
Select Catalog
Click University of ��ֱ�� - Courses
Select Export Controls folder
Select ��ֱ��: Introduction to Export Controls and click [Launch]

Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Courses Instructions

For new users:

Go to and login with your ��ֱ�� Identikey and password. You will be prompted to confirm your account information and provide your Employee ID.

When you have finished, a new page entitled “Select Curriculum – University of ��ֱ�� at Boulder” will load.
Select the “Export Controls” checkbox, then click the Next button.
The “Main Menu” page will load. Click on the “CITI Export Controls Course” course title.
On the next screen, accept The Integrity Assurance Statement, and complete the course.

For users with an existing CITI account:

Go to and login with your ��ֱ�� Identikey and password. You may be prompted to confirm your CITI profile information and provide your Employee ID.
The “Main Menu” page will load. Expand the University of ��ֱ�� at Boulder Courses menu. Under “My Learner Tools for University of ��ֱ�� at Boulder” click the “Add a Course or Update Learner Groups” link.
A new page entitled “Select Curriculum – University of ��ֱ�� at Boulder” will load.
Select the “Export Controls” checkbox, then click the Next button.
The “Main Menu” page will load. Click on the “CITI Export Controls Course” course title.
On the next screen, accept The Integrity Assurance Statement, and complete the course.

The Office of Export Controls is pleased to provide customized training tailored to the specific questions and needs of particular departments, centers, institutes or individual lab groups.
