Grading

  • As a reminder, we will be retroactively applying grade replacement for students retaking eligible courses under the temporary grade replacement policy adjustment. For students who retook an eligible course in Summer 2020, Fall 2020 or Spring 2021, we'll complete this processing by May 14.

  • Web grading opened on Tuesday, April 27. This webinar will provide an overview of the web grading cycle, address frequently asked questions and demonstrate the web grading process.
  • Effective Feb. 22, 2021, a temporary policy adjustment is now in effect allowing students who earned a low grade in a course taken between Spring 2020 and Summer 2021 to retake that course for grade replacement without it counting against their total grade replacement credit limit. All other grade replacement eligibility requirements still apply.
  • Come to our Feb. 5 training to learn more about FERPA and get the answers to your questions. (ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥-SIS access is not required.)
  • As previously announced, the deadline for students to change a student-option class from letter grade to pass/fail (or vice versa) is now the tenth Friday of the semester. For Fall 2020, that date is Friday, Oct. 30 (prorated for special sessions).
  • Under the new process, students wanting to take a class for no credit must first register for the class, then submit an OnBase form requesting a change to no credit. Existing processes for community and senior auditors are unaffected.
  • When suggesting that a student retake a course for grade replacement, please be certain to tell them to submit the required request form before the deadline.
  • We're in the process of evaluating and updating existing general student records data reports to include instruction mode as a standard data element. An updated version of the Advising Grade Report is now available in production; we'll continue to notify you as additional reports are updated.
  • Effective Fall 2020, the deadline for students to change a 16-week student-option class from letter grade to pass/fail (or vice versa) is now the tenth Friday of the semester (prorated for special sessions).
  • The Spring 2020 grace period for undergraduate and graduate students to request pass/fail ended at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 11. We ran an overnight process to post all grade rosters in "Approved" status, and have since begun to process the more than 7,000 pass/fail requests submitted during the grace period.
