Captain Brendan F. MacVarish
Marine Officer Instructor
Captain Brendan F. MacVarish hails from Hollis, New Hampshire. He commissioned into the Marine Corps from the United States Naval Academy in May of 2019, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering. Following his commission, he reported to The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia in June of 2019, and graduated in December of 2019. In January of 2020 he reported to the Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California to attend the Basic Communications Officer Course.
Upon his graduation in May of 2020, he received orders to Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18 in Okinawa, Japan and served as a Platoon Commander supporting 1st Marine Aircraft Wing exercises across the Indo-Pacific Area of Responsibility. In October of 2021, he received orders to serve as an independent S-6 for Marine Air Support Squadron 2, supporting communications requirements and advanced Tactical Data Link layer capabilities for the Direct Air Support Center until his Transfer in May of 2023.
His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.
Gunnery Sergeant Brandon W. Keziah

Gunnery Sergeant Keziah was born October 1, 1989 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He lived in the Charlotte area throughout his childhood. He graduated high school in 2008. After graduation he enrolled into the Delayed Entry Program at RS Charlotte. After two months he left for Recruit Training to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, SC. Gunnery Sergeant Keziah was picked up October 16th by 1st Battalion, Alpha Company, PLT 1000. He graduated January 19th 2009.
He reported to Marine Combat Training (SOI EAST) on January 29th, 2009 and graduated March 10th, 2009. On March 11th, 2009 he reported for Bulk Fuel Specialist training at Fort Lee, VA where he received his primary MOS 1391 (Bulk Fuel Specialist).
On May 10th, 2009 Gunnery Sergeant Keziah checked into 8th Engineer Support Battalion (ESB), Bulk Fuel Company. On September 9th he was temporarily assigned duty to CLB-6 to deploy to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 1-10 as a Machine Gunner with Security Platoon, Bravo Company. Upon returning from deployment on August 12th 2011 he was reassigned back to 8th ESB.
On November 2nd 2011, Gunnery Sergeant Keziah was temporarily assigned duty with CLB-24 as a Bulk Fuel Specialist in support of 24th MEU. He was deployed on the USS Gungston Hall with the USS Iwo Jima ARG across the Mediterranean in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Upon returning from deployment he was assigned as permanent personnel and sent to work as the Battalion Operations and Training NCO.
On January 17th, 2014 Gunnery Sergeant Keziah checked into Combat Logistics Battalion 4, H&S Company, Support platoon as the Platoon Sergeant and Bulk Fuel Chief. August 5th, 2015 Gunnery Sergeant Keziah was selected as the 3d Marine Logistics Group Commanding General’s Driver.
On January 4th, 2017 Gunnery Sergeant Keziah reported to Drill Instructor School aboard MCRD Parris Island where he served as a student and squad leader. Upon graduation, SSgt Keziah checked into Third Recruit Training Battalion, Lima Company where he has served as a Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, and Chief Drill Instructor.
On July 15th, 2020 Gunnery Sergeant Keziah checked in to MWSS-271, Air Operations Company as a Team Leader. Upon the Squadron Re-Organization, he was chosen to serve as the FARP Platoon SNCOIC as a part of the newly established Aviation Mobility Company (AMC). Gunnery Sergeant Keziah also held the billet of Company First Sergeant of AMC.
In 2023, Gunnery Sergeant Keziah was selected to serve on AMOI duty. He currently serves as the Assistant Marine Officer Instructor for ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ University Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Program.
Gunnery Sergeant Keziah’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with one gold star in lieu of second award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one gold star in lieu of second award. Gunnery Sergeant Keziah is married to Hillary C. Keziah and has two sons, Luke (9 yrs) and Ben (7 yrs).
