Christina Jennings just returned from Havana, Cuba where she presented a concert and master class with the Philadelphia new music ensemble: Orchestra 2001. The concert was sponsored by Havana鈥檚 25th Festival of Contemporary Music which took place at the 鈥淏asilica Menor del Convento de San Francisco de Asis.鈥� The program included George Crumb鈥檚 鈥淒ream Sequence鈥� and 鈥淣ight of the Four Moons,鈥� together with Jay Reise鈥檚 new 鈥淔light of the Red Sea Swallow鈥� for flute and piano written for Christina Jennings.
She also gave a master class at Havana鈥檚 Amadeo Roldan Conservatory. Among the gifts she brought to these talented and underserved students, was the complete Rubank Method Books for all band instruments, compliments at the 蜜糖直播 Band Department.
