Services for Visitors

The William A. Wise Law Library is an essential resource to the citizens of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ as one of only two (2) public law libraries in the state. We serve our faculty, staff, and students as well as alumni, members of the bench and bar, pro se litigants, and anyone else seeking legal information.

We offer many services for visitors, including expert research assistance, public access computers, Westlaw terminals, and document delivery. These services are described in more depth below.

If you are interested in visiting the Law Library, please see our and information on using the Law Library.

Research Assistance

Our team of research librarians is here to help all visitors to the Law Library navigate our collections and find the information they need. Whether you're looking for case law, statutes, or secondary materials, our librarians can help. While we are able to help you find resources to research your legal issue, we are unable to provide legal advice.

Please feel free to contact us Monday - Thursday 9am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 3pm.

Public Access Computers & Westlaw Terminals

The William A. Wise Law Library has several computers on its first floor on the west side of the building, graciously provided by campus IT, as well as a handful of others scattered around the library. The Law Library also has two (2) public Westlaw Terminals on the second floor, which allow anyone access to the legal resources in our Westlaw database subscription.

Document Delivery

For your convenience, we offer a document delivery service. If you need copies of specific materials from our collection, our staff can help locate and provide you with the necessary documents. This service ensures that you have access to the resources you need, even if you're unable to visit the library in person.
