We currently work with volunteers on Wednesday at the east campus greenhouse.

Volunteers do a variety of work. Some tasks do not involve working directly with plants. Possible tasks include:

  • Planting seed.
  • Transplanting plants to other sized containers.
  • Plant propagation.
  • Pest control using dishwashing soap.
  • Pruning.
  • Making pollinations.
  • Cleaning.
  • Generally helping out with arranging and putting things in order.

Application for greenhouse volunteers

The greenhouse volunteer position requires people who are dependable and conscientious. No previous experience in greenhouses or plant-related work is necessary. All volunteers must be accepted by the greenhouse director before starting.
