Faculty Funding

Thanks to the generous support of the Bender Family Foundation and other donors, the Program in Jewish Studies is pleased to offer financial support for travel related expenses for ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder faculty conducting research or presenting at conferences in areas related to the field of Jewish Studies. All full-time ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder faculty members are eligible to apply.

  • Research travel grants of up to $2,500 are awarded to full-time faculty in any discipline who are pursuing Jewish Studies related research projects. 
  • Conference travel grants up to $500 are awarded to full-time faculty in any discipline who are presenting at academic or professional conferences related to the field of Jewish Studies.

Research Travel Grant Submission Guidelines:

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder faculty who wish to apply for research travel support are asked to provide the following:

  • CV
  • research proposal of up to 500 words
  • an estimated budget for travel (including expenses and revenues) and the total financial request, including information on additional funding sources applied for or pending

Conference Travel Grant Submission Guidelines:

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder faculty who wish to apply for conference travel support are asked to provide the following:

  • CV
  • a description of the conference
  • a copy of the proposal submitted to the conference
  • proof of participation in the conference
  • an estimated budget for travel (including expenses and revenues) and the total financial request, including information on additional funding sources applied for or pending

Submission Deadlines:

Faculty travel grants are awarded on a rolling basis. However, grant applications must be received at least 12 weeks before the conference or proposed research travel dates in order to ensure a timely decision. Only in special cases will applications be considered within 12 weeks of the proposed travel period.
