Mental wellness
Your mental health matters. Check out these services to support your mental well-being this summer.
CAPS will continue to offer one in-person Let’s Talk session over the summer. This session will be held once per week at the Center for Inclusion and Social Change. Let’s Talk Psychiatry will not be available over the summer.
CAPS will be hosting a free, virtual Anxiety Toolbox workshop once per week over the summer.
CAPS will be open for screenings throughout the summer. Screenings are available virtually or in person during drop-in hours.
Several process therapy and skills-based therapy groups will be open over the summer.
AcademicLiveCare (ALC) is a telehealth platform that allows students, staff and faculty to schedule and attend counseling, psychiatry, nutrition and medical appointments from anywhere for free.
Thriving Campus is a free service that can help you connect with community providers based on your interests, location, needs and insurance plan. You can even filter providers by specialty, gender and more.
Students enrolled in ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Anthem Gold Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) can access community with no copay. Please note, insurance benefits expire July 31, 2024. To continue coverage, please complete your 2024-25 insurance requirements online to re-enroll in this plan.
Collegiate Recovery Community (ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥CRC)
The ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥CRC will continue to provide one support meeting in person and virtually throughout the summer This meeting is open to all students who are in recovery or interested in pursuing recovery from substances, self-harm, gambling, disordered eating, shopping and other harmful or addictive behaviors.
Office of Victim Assistance (OVA)
OVA is open and will have in-person and telehealth trauma specific counseling and/or advocacy services. Drop-in hours will be available Monday and Thursday from 11a.m. to 3 p.m. You can also schedule an appointment during the week by calling 303-492-8855.
Physical wellness

Medical Services at Wardenburg Health Center will be open throughout the summer. Appointments are available for primary care, sexual and reproductive health, the travel clinic, massage, acupuncture and more!
Students registered for Summer Session will have access to the Rec Center during their enrollment period. Students not registered for summer classes can purchase access to the Rec Center for $7/day or $13/week.
Wednesdays from June 5 through July 24 feature free access to the Rec Center for all Buff OneCard holders.
No programs, services or equipment rentals are included with this promotion. Guests and visitors must pay a daily use fee of $10.
Check out one of the many instructional programs the Rec offers over the summer including swim, dance or martial arts lessons, CPR and first aid certification and much more!
Attend any of the Rec Center’s group fitness classes with your Be Fit Pass. 20+ classes are offered every week during the summer. Choose from a variety of classes including dance, cycling, Pilates, yoga and more.
You must have a Rec Center membership prior to purchasing your Be Fit Pass.
- Summer pass fee: $30 (if purchased 5/1-6/2 $35 (if purchased June 3 or later)
- Pass is valid May 20 through Aug. 19, 2024
Climbing gym summer memberships are available for $30 and are good through August! Day passes are also available for $7.50 per day.
A Rec Center membership is required to purchase a climbing gym pass and access the facilities.
Intramural Sports provide an opportunity for students to get connected on campus, meet fellow Buffs and stay active. Summer leagues include basketball, tennis, pickleball, racquetball, jumbo volleyball and badminton. Purchase an IM Sports Pass for $10 and get unlimited access to summer league play.

Free health and wellness supplies such as hand sanitizer, throat lozenges, sleep masks and ear plugs, safer sex supplies, and more will be stocked in the Wellness Suite on the third floor of Wardenburg Health Center. Naloxone and fentanyl test strips are available at the Health Promotion front desk on the third floor of Wardenburg Health Center.
Students who will be out-of-state have access to select programs and services over the summer.

Spring memberships at the Rec Center expire May 31. Alumni can continue to access The Rec through the purchase of a ‘University Affiliate' membership which offers daily, monthly, semester and punch pass options.

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder's pre-arrival programs offer students the opportunity to move in early and meet people who share similar interests. The Rec Center and Health Promotion both offer pre-arrival programs for students interested in active lifestyles, health and well-being.
Outdoor Pursuits is excited to offer incoming student trips for first-year and transfer students in both June and August this year. These trips are geared toward developing relationships with other ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ students while exploring ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ before the semester begins!
Need health insurance? Incoming students can enroll in ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s Anthem Gold Student Health Insurance Plan to make sure they’re covered this year. The insurance portal opens June 18 and coverage starts before the fall semester on August 1.
