Students majoring in Italian are required to have an initial advising session with the departmental advisor and to meet with the advisor at each semester's registration. Students majoring in Italian must earn a grade of C- or higher in ALL courses required for the major and may NOT take major requirement courses Pass/Fail. Twelve hours of upper division ITAL credit must be completed on the أغجاض±²¥-Boulder campus.
Credits earned in Education Abroad programs may be applied to the Italian major as follows:
- Credits earned through a University of أغجاض±²¥ program in Italy may be applied to the Italian major. Students majoring in Italian must meet with the Italian advisor before going on an Education Abroad program to Italy to discuss their course of study and how courses will satisfy major requirements.
- Credits earned through other Education Abroad programs will be evaluated by the Italian advisor for application to the Italian major. Students may apply a maximum of 18 transfer credit hours to the Italian major -- only 15 hours can be applied at the upper division level. Students majoring in Italian must meet with an advisor prior to attending an Education Abroad program with an institution other than أغجاض±²¥.

Students majoring in Italian may obtain Honors by meeting all of the regular requirements for the major plus the following:
