French Major Course Requirements
Courses
- FREN 3010 - French Phonetics and Pronunciation (3 semester hours)
- FREN 3050 - French Composition I OR II (3 semester hours)
- FREN 3100 - Critical Reading and Writing in French Literature (3 semester hours)
- FREN 3110 OR 3120 - Main Currents of French Literature I and II (3 semester hours)
- 5 upper-division electives at the 3000 or 4000 level - of which 3 semester hours must be at the 4100 level or above (15 semester hours)
- FREN 4990 - Senior Seminar (including a senior essay and oral presentation, except where a student elects to present a senior honors thesis) (3 semester hours).
- Note: The seminar runs concurrently with one of the 2 courses taken at the 4100 level or above. Both the 4100 level or above course and the seminar must be completed at أغجاض±²¥, Boulder. Students are strongly encouraged to take their senior seminar in the fall rather than the spring. See department for details.
