The Office of Faculty Affairs, in partnership with the schools, colleges, and other administrative units, oversees the personnel actions and career milestones of faculty members at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder. This includes but is not limited to:
One of the most essential activities of the departmental hiring unit. This section outlines the various faculty titles available on campus and the requirements for their use, as well as the guidelines for recruiting and hiring multiple faculty groups.
Compensation is a crucial aspect of retaining engaged, quality faculty. ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder strives to provide our students with a quality education, with the faculty being the essential element in insuring we offer superb instruction.
A faculty member is considered to be on a leave of absence when they take leave from their regular duties during the period of service outlined in their offer letter. This section outlines the various types of leaves and the modes by which a faculty member can apply for these leaves.Â
Outstanding faculty members are an essential element of a great university. Faculty are subject to rigorous review processes during their life as a faculty member on this campus.Â
Post-tenure review is required of all tenured faculty at an interval of five years. These reviews are conducted by departments and dean's offices, and submitted to Faculty Affairs.
