Examples might include, in no particular order:

2) travel to Kingston and other locations in Jamaica to conduct archival, art historical, and topographical research for a scholarly, multimedia project on the First Maroon War; and
3) travel to Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, London, and Brussels to interview key players and consult the historical archives of the European Commission for a dissertation on Brexit negotiations.

Conference Travel Grants are available to graduate students who have presented or will present papers addressing subjects dealing with any aspect of global British and/or Irish studies at a conference, in the United States or abroad, during the current academic year or the first semester of the next academic year. In addition, graduate students who are presenting a paper in a virtual/online conference may apply to have their registration fee reimbursed.

Awards are subject to all ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ regulations regarding domestic and international travel. Award recipients will receive the necessary information when they are notified of the success of their application.

See below for more detailed information.
