Process for Requesting Reappointments

Each unit wishing to reappoint a non-tenure track faculty member with a title of adjoint or adjunct will submit to CAS Faculty Affairs (CAS-Faculty@colorado.edu) a reappointment dossier, and a completed copy of theÌýA&S Lecturer RecruitmentÌýspreadsheet. These two documents should both be submitted simultaneously, in the same ServiceNow ticket.ÌýÌý

  • The dossier should include the following documents:Ìý
    • One letter of recommendation supporting reappointment. The letter must be drafted by an administrative officer within the faculty member’s primary unit.ÌýÌý
  • Upon receipt of the dossier, CAS Faculty Affairs will review the materials for inclusion of all required documentation.ÌýÌý
  • CAS Faculty Affairs will submit the reappointment e-dossier to the Associate or Divisional Dean for review and recommendation.ÌýÌý
  • The Associate or Divisional Dean will provide recommendation of reappointment to CAS Faculty Affairs.ÌýÌý
  • CAS Faculty Affairs will notify the unit, via email/ServiceNow, when the reappointment has been approved.ÌýÌý
  • CAS Faculty Affairs Coordinator will then create the draft offer letter for compliance with the submitted spreadsheet, and approved terms of offer.Ìý
  • If requested by the applicable Dean, the CAS Faculty Affairs Coordinator will submit the draft offer letter to the Associate or Divisional Dean for review and recommendation.Ìý
  • The Associate or Divisional Dean will provide approval of the draft offer letter to the College of Arts and Sciences' Faculty Affairs Coordinator (If applicable).Ìý
  • CAS Faculty Affairs Coordinator routes offer letter for signatures in DocuSign, sending final copies to the Campus HR Service Center and applicable Program Coordinator.Ìý
