Intra-University Transfer (IUT) Advising Steps

1. Assist students in learning more about their intented college/school/program
   
   • Run a with the student

4. Support students as they consider their IUT fit
   
   • Inform students with Veteran and Military Affairs, International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS), and the to meet with their advisors

5. Assist students in creating a parallel plan
   
   • Discuss similiar majors with the Programs from a Different Lens and resources
   • Propose minor and certificate options
6. Advise students to apply as early as possible

   • Assist students in determining when they are eligible for admission or 鈥淥n Track鈥� status

The IUT Intent Tag can be added, removed, or changed with a brief OnBase form, available through this webpage and in the 鈥淟inks鈥� section in the Buff Portal Advising flyout panel. Advisors should tag any student indicating an intention to enter a college/school/program by:

• Enrolling in IUT prerequisite courses
• Raising their GPA to meet an IUT requirement
• Attending an information or workshop
• Contacting an advisor in their intended field of study
• Declaring a dual degree/licensure program
