November is Native American and Indigenous Brilliance Month, which pays tribute to the rich ancestry, diverse cultures and traditions of Native Americans, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians. Join us at upcoming events and learn more about how to get involved.
DÃa de Los Muertos Altar Crawl | Oct. 31
The DÃa de Los Muertos Altar Crawl is a campus-wide event that invites the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder community to explore and engage with a series of altars created in honor of DÃa de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). This event will highlight the cultural significance of the day by encouraging participants to visit different altars across campus, each representing various aspects of remembrance and celebration.
There will be food, music, and opening celebrations.
Time: 2:30-4 p.m.
Location: Abrams Lounge on the 3rd Floor of the C4C. When coming off the elevator, make a right. It will be displayed out the window case.
Inclusive Excellence in Gaming: An Evening with John Romero | Nov. 6
Join this event to kick off Native American and Indigenous Heritage Month at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder!
Celebrate excellence in gaming at "An Evening with John Romero." Born in ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ and holding Mexican, Yaqui and Cherokee heritage, John is a director, designer, programmer and developer in the video game industry. He has helped develop classics like Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, Hexen and Quake.
John will present on indigeneity and gaming remotely to a live audience in the CASE auditorium. Catering, provided by Tocabe, will also be served with a curated Q&A in the Chancellor's Hall.

Foodie Tuesday: Native and Indigenous Heritage Month—Ch'il Indigenous Foods | Nov. 19
Join us for a special Foodie Tuesday event celebrating Native and Indigenous Heritage Month with Ch'il Indigenous Foods. This event promotes plant medicine and food sovereignty through grassroots activism, featuring the sharing of traditional Indigenous plant foods and practices. Attendees will also receive plants to take home and grow, encouraging sustainable food practices.
Time: 5-7 p.m.
