With a focus on learning sciences and human development, Marlene Palomar is a third-year Ph.D. student at the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder. Marlene received her undergrad from ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder in psychology and her Masters from ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Denver in couple and family therapy. Her research interests include using critical theories and an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to study storytelling and creative self-expression as a means to explore social issues, power, culture, and wellness in learning environments. Prior to joining the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder, Marlene was training as a couple and family therapist and providing therapy to caregivers and children in Boulder County. She was also working on various research projects at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Denver.
