Bygone is a thirteen-minute narrative film set deep in the woods during the dead of winter. Shot over a week and a half, the film used a relatively small crew of only the Director Adler Shannon, Cinematographer Gabe Kawamura, and Sound Producer Sydney Lashmet. The actors, Roger Keeler III and Catie Conry, are Boulder Hip-Hop and RnB musicians who also have experience acting in various short films. The film itself was shot primarily in the mountains surrounding Nederland, ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥, with some scenes being shot in Boulder, ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥, as well as Caribou City, ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥. The shooting conditions were often hectic, with winter advisory warnings and high wind warnings coming into effect multiple times during shooting. The project represents a challenging and ambitious step forward for its fully student filmmaker crew, using complex and unique filmmaking methods throughout.
