Project Description

The research project involves basic science experiments on quantum logic and spectroscopy with two-dimensional arrays of trapped atomic ions, in line with the strategic goal of NIST to support research in quantum information processing and simulation, quantum networking and quantum metrology. The work will be within the Ion Storage Group of the Time and Frequency Division of NIST.

Research Interests

Ion trapping, quantum simulation, quantum information, atomic physics
