As a reminder, Euclid Autopark is closed through Jan. 13 due to construction.</p> <p>Fans who do not have either of the parking permits will be required to park at Research Park or find alternate transportation options.&nbsp; The fee for parking at Research Park off Discovery Drive will be $10.&nbsp; Parking is limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Discovery Drive should be accessed from Foothills Parkway and ֱ Avenue. The ֱPD officer is Clay Austin. He has been an officer with ֱPD for almost four years. The BPD officer’s name is Jason Connor. He is a three-year veteran of the department. Both officers are on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, which is consistent with department policies.</p> <p>ֱ Boulder police received a 911 call at 9:13 a.m. and Officer Austin immediately responded to the scene. In total, 14 ֱPD officers responded during the duration of the call. Boulder police became aware of the incident at 9:16 a.m., after multiple 911 calls came into the Boulder Police Department Communication Center. Nine Boulder police officers immediately responded to assist the ֱ Police Department. When officers encountered the armed suspect, he did not comply with verbal commands and then advanced on officers. It has been confirmed that both Officer Austin and Officer Connor discharged their firearms.</p> <p>The Boulder County Investigation Team is the lead investigation team for this incident. This team is made up of investigators from various law enforcement agencies throughout Boulder County. Both the University of ֱ Boulder Police Department and the Boulder Police Department participate in this system of investigation to ensure objectivity in cases where officers use lethal force.</p> <p>Investigators believe there are likely still witnesses who they have not talked with and are asking individuals who were in the area when the incident occurred to call Sgt. Pictures of the sleep systems and a similar-looking trailer are attached.</p> <p>Anyone with information regarding the possible identity of the suspect is asked to call the ֱ Boulder Police Department at 303-492-6666. This one-time free toll day will be effective on Saturday from 6-9:30 a.m. in westbound lanes from Federal Boulevard through Foothills Parkway toll points and from 3-6:30 p.m. in eastbound lanes from Foothills Parkway through Federal Boulevard toll points.</p> <p>A construction zone has been established near Foothills Parkway at the end of the westbound US 36 Express Lanes and just before the beginning of the eastbound US 36 Express Lanes.&nbsp; This construction zone may cause backups.&nbsp; Additional travel time is recommended to drivers who are coming to Boulder on Highway 36.</p> <p><strong>Parking Availability</strong></p> <p>We recommend guests arrive early before the ceremony to allow adequate time to get to campus as well as from the parking areas to the stadium. The majority of parking will be available off Regent Drive. Parking attendants will direct you to available lots in the area; parking meters, pay stations, and several of the parking lots on campus are free the day of commencement (except Euclid Auto Park). Please consult the&nbsp;<a href="http://www.colorado.edu/pts/sites/default/files/attached-files/ֱ%20Spring%20Commencement%20Parking%20Map_0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">parking map</a>&nbsp;to find those free lots and spaces.</p> <p>Guests who need ADA-accessible parking may park in lots south of the stadium; parking attendants on-site will direct you to the available lots in the area.&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>A</strong>&nbsp;<strong>disability parking placard is required&nbsp;</strong>to park in this area, please have your placard displayed when arriving on campus<em>.</em>&nbsp;A drop-off area for those who have difficulty walking will be at the intersection of ֱ Avenue and Folsom Street, southeast of the stadium.
