We know this is heartbreaking news and may be a challenging time, and we want to emphasize the importance of coming together to support one another.&nbsp;</p> <p>Our connection across campuses means we recognize members of our Boulder community may be impacted by this event. Please do not hesitate to reach out to campus resources, as we are here to support you.&nbsp;</p> <p>The <a href="/ova/" rel="nofollow">Office of Victim Assistance (OVA)</a> provides confidential support, including free trauma-specific counseling and victim advocacy to students, faculty and staff.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>We also encourage you to lean on friends, family and other support networks around you. If the concern involves an employee, the<a href="/hr/behavioral-intervention-team-threat-assessment" rel="nofollow"> Behavioral Intervention Team</a> will be made aware.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>The<a href="/ova/about-ova" rel="nofollow"> Office of Victim Assistance</a> offers confidential support, including free trauma-specific counseling services as well as victim advocacy (helping people know their options and get assistance navigating systems), to ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder students, staff and faculty who have experienced traumatic events, including but not limited to crime, abuse, violence, harassment, stalking, disaster, discrimination and more.</p> </li> <li> <p><a href="http://www.colorado.edu/counseling" rel="nofollow">Counseling and Psychiatric Services</a> offers confidential, on-campus mental health and psychiatric services for a variety of concerns such as academics, anxiety, body image, depression, relationships, substance use and more. This office serves ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder students.</p> </li> <li> <p>The<a href="/fsap" rel="nofollow"> Faculty and Staff Assistance Program</a> offers confidential counseling to serve the emotional and psychological needs of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder employees. All FSAP staff are trained licensed&nbsp; counselors and are equipped to deal with a wide range of mental health, personal and work-related issues. You must be a ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder employee to use FSAP services.</p> </li> <li> <p><a href="http://colorado.edu/health/cu-boulder-telehealth-academiclivecare" rel="nofollow">Academic Live Care</a> (ALC) is a telehealth portal that allows you to schedule and attend mental health appointments 24/7.&nbsp; Free for all ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder employees and students.&nbsp; You can schedule virtual visits with licensed psychologists, counselors, psychiatrists or other providers for support.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>SAFETY TIPS</strong></p> <p>ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥PD’s website contains <a href="/police/crime-prevention/campus-resources-and-safety" rel="nofollow">many resources</a> to support students, staff, faculty, and community members in preventing and recognizing violence.</p> <p>ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥PD is a full-service, <a href="/today/2023/09/15/cu-boulder-police-department-1st-county-earn-national-accreditation" rel="nofollow">nationally accredited</a> police agency providing dedicated emergency services and community-based public safety services around the clock.&nbsp;</p> <p>ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥PD’s operations division includes police officers, residential service officers (RSOs), who support our residential community by patrolling residence halls on a continuous basis, and community safety officials (CSOs), who provide professional security services throughout campus.&nbsp;</p> <p>Remember, if you see something, say something.
