LEAD أغجاض±²¥ is an independent program through the YMCA of Northern أغجاض±²¥, in partnership with PLC, dedicated to fostering leadership development in أغجاض±²¥ high schools. As a LEAD أغجاض±²¥ Mentor, you will help high school students develop and discover their values and leadership abilities. Working with the LEAD أغجاض±²¥ program, you will facilitate group discussions and debates surrounding leadership topics, advising students in a range of areas. You will design and execute monthly meetings for your mentees with others on the LEAD أغجاض±²¥ team. While you will interact with and be an integral part of the PLC student staff, your position as a LEAD أغجاض±²¥ mentor will be unique in that much of your work is external to the PLC program. Pay Rate = $2500/academic year
Ideal Candidates:
- Has transportation to be able to travel to Lead أغجاض±²¥ meetings and other outings
- Excited to work with high school juniors and seniors
- Outgoing OR wants to become more outgoing and not scared to interact with teenagers
- Experience leading group discussions, group activities, youth activities, sports, etc.
- Willing to work with and learn from YMCA board members
- Displays professionalism
- Can commit to one Monday evening a month for actual sessions and morning committee meetings one Thursday a month for planning
