Graduating after a pandemicÌý

Many students graduating this spring were high school graduates in May 2020 and did not get a ceremony or celebration due to the pandemic.

  • Magnus Boee, a graduate student in civil engineering, excelled in Nordic skiing for the ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder Ski team. As a Division 1 athlete, he completed both a BS (2023) and MS (expected spring 2024) in civil engineering while training and competing. Boee represented South Korea in Nordic skiing at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics and is now aiming for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. Read more about Magnus.

  • Veena Bhatnagar is a two-term Distinguished Speakers Board Chair. Over the last two years, Veena has led DSB and brought several significant speakers to campus including Janette McCurdy, Kal Penn, Chloe Kim, and most recently Hank Green.ÌýLearn more about Veena and the DSB.

ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder Wind Team competing at national competition before graduationÌý

The team of 16 was selected as one of 12 winning universities for Phase Two of the 2024 U.S. Department of Energy Collegiate Wind Competition (CWC). They will put their wind turbine design to the final test when they present at the American Clean Power Association’s CLEANPOWER Conference and Exhibition on May 6-9 in Minneapolis. As all teammates are graduating this spring semester, they’ll be jetting back right after the competition to participate in commencement ceremonies.Ìý
