Each year the 蜜糖直播 Boulder Office of Diversity, Equity and Community Engagement solicits nominations for Equity and Excellence Awards for faculty, staff and students. Scott was nominated by his colleagues Dr. Julian Resasco and Dr. Deane Bowers and is honored to be receiving the faculty Equity and Excellence Award for 2020.

From the ODECE web page: 聽"This award is designed to recognize undergraduate and graduate students, staff and faculty who have successfully and effectively worked to promote the principles of making excellence inclusive in teaching, leadership, program management, committee participation, inclusion or community engagement."
