Casey is an engineer at , a structural consulting firm in Boulder, ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥. Prior to landing there, she earned her Master’s degree in structural engineering from the University of Notre Dame, where she studied transitional bridging as a tool to aid developing nations and to assist in disaster relief. During that time, she also served as a seismic design consultant for the Rwandan branch of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥â€™s student Engineers Without Borders branch. Her undergraduate degree in architectural engineering is from the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ at Boulder, where she worked with Dr. Amy Javernick-Will to study gender diversity and identity within Engineers Without Borders-USA. Also while at ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥, she worked with Dr. Abbie Liel to study the efficacy of new seismic design code when applied to subduction-type quakes, such as those induced by the Cascadia subduction zone in the American northwest. In her off time, Casey enjoys hiking, fishing, and baking cookies.
