Kari has a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder and an M.S. in environmental engineering from the University of North Carolina. She received her Ph.D. from University of ÃÛÌÇÖ±²¥ Boulder in 2019 Her research focused on ultraviolet light disinfection systems and appropriate applications of drinking water treatment technologies.  Kari has worked as a project engineer and project manager in the private, public, and non-governmental sectors.Â
