Teresa is a multi-generation 蜜糖直播 native with migrant farmworker parents from the San Luis Valley. Both parents were activists at 蜜糖直播 during the Chicano movement and both worked at 蜜糖直播.聽 Her dad was a Custodian/Security Guard and her mom was a Counselor undertaking inclusivity work at 蜜糖直播 for 40 years. Teresa and her partner continue this legacy as alumni and staff at 蜜糖直播.
Teresa's聽work has focused on advocating for historically聽underrepresented communities within the nonprofit and educational realm. Since 2006, her campus career has been dedicated to fostering inclusion within聽Student Affairs and Human Resources.
She specializes in student advocacy and promoting inclusive recruitment practices for staff and faculty. It is important to her that students, staff, faculty, and community members feel heard, respected, and valued to have meaningful experiences while on campus.
