3 tips for staying healthy before finals

Finals season can be stressful but if we don’t feel our best, it can cause our stress levels to rise even more. Here are a few tips to help you feel your best and stay healthy in preparation for finals.

Get vaccinated

Getting vaccinated is the most effective way to prevent the flu. All students can receive a free flu shot with their Buff OneCard. Visit a walk-in clinic on campus to get yours.

Sharing isn’t caring

We all stay healthier when we look out for one another. Sharing items like lip balm, food and drinks, vape products and eating utensils can cause illnesses to spread. Keep yourself and your friends safe this flu season by using your own products when possible.

Wash your hands

Illness doesn’t just spread by sharing saliva – it can also spread through contact with surfaces. Protect yourself by washing your hands after you use the bathroom, before eating, after class and any time you touch multiple surfaces. If warm water and soap aren’t available, an alcohol-based hand sanitizer is a good alternative. You can pick up a free travel bottle from Health Promotion on the 3rd floor of Wardenburg Health Center.
